Procurement Manager

About the Role:

Constellation provides centralized back-office services for multiple companies in the construction and service industries. We are seeking a Procurement Manager to oversee sourcing, vendor management, and compliance across our business units. This role will focus on timely, cost-effective procurement, maintaining strong supplier relationships, issuing purchase orders (POs) and PO change orders, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. As we continue to grow, the Procurement Manager will play a key role in building and leading a procurement team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vendor Management:
  • Identify, evaluate, and build strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Negotiate favorable terms with vendors for pricing, delivery, and quality.
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with key suppliers across various business units.
  • Sourcing & Purchasing:
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies to meet the needs of each business unit.
  • Issue purchase orders (POs) and PO change orders to suppliers.
  • Ensure timely procurement of materials, equipment, and services.
  • Collaborate with business units to align procurement activities with their operational needs.
  • Compliance & Risk Management:
  • Track and manage certificates of insurance and Master Service Agreements (MSAs) with vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Continuously assess and mitigate risks within the supply chain.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work closely with business units to streamline procurement activities.
  • Act as a liaison between business units and vendors to resolve any supply or quality issues.
  • KPI Management:
  • Track and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) related to procurement efficiency and supplier performance.
  • Team Development:
  • As the company grows, recruit, train, and manage a procurement team.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing procurement function.



Position Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in procurement, vendor management, and sourcing.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Experience issuing purchase orders and PO change orders.
  • Knowledge of procurement best practices and compliance regulations.
  • Experience in construction or a related industry is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across multiple business units.
  • Ability to manage KPIs and implement process improvements.
  • Leadership potential and the desire to build and manage a team as the company expands.
