Position Description

Rooster Asset Tracking based out of Topeka Kansas is now hiring for fulltime Field Technician. You will assist customers with device and software installation, deployment guidance, training, troubleshooting, and ongoing support services. Contact with users will include phone, e-mail, zoom and on-site field support and services.

A little about Rooster!

Rooster is a Kansas-Based Construction Technology company that has developed and produced this new state of the art Asset Tracking System (hardware and software). Designed for small tools, heavy equipment, vehicles, and other construction related items.  The system launched January 2023!   

Duties/Responsibilities:

·         Install and service asset tracking hardware devices on tools and equipment

·         Educating customers about the correct use and upkeep of products

·         Assist companies with implementation strategies

·         Trouble shoot device and software issues

·         Handling customer relations in a professional manner

·         Provide timely product feedback to leadership and development team


Position Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

·         Valid/Clean driving record

·         Proficient with small tools and power tools

·         Knowledge of construction, construction equipment and terminology

·         Electrical/Mechanical experience

·         Physical ability to climb, lift up to 50lbs, crawl under equipment etc.

·         High level of computer proficiency (spreadsheets, reports etc)

·         Ability to work without direct supervision

·         Detail oriented

·         Customer service focused

·         Problem solving skills

·         Experience with advanced technology

·         Ability to work in variety of environmental conditions (cold/hot/dirty)

·         Experience with workplace safety protocol

·         Overnight travel may be required

·        

Required – Preferred Education / Experience:

·         High School, with some technical training / coursed

·         2/4 Year technical degree, strong problem-solving skills, strong mechanical aptitude, good eye hand coordination and operation of tools

Work hours/job location/benefits:

Pay DOE, health insurance, 401k with employer match, paid leave, holiday pay.

Tools and equipment will be provided.
